and removal of ivy a large cavity was found from a historic branch failure which has caused decay in the main stem at approx 5m from ground level. Recommended monolith to retain most of the stem in a veteranisation process and take out any liabilities the tree poses having grown in a public / high target area. Chip on site in scrub area, timber removed. Owner of tree in contention but identified in appropriate section.
